36. I am not religious but I am spiritual. Naming Trump, who is the vilest person I've seen in my lifetime, as the Chosen One of God comes close to being, if not, blasphemous. And yet there are supposedly religious people out there who believe it. I spent my first 16 years in church. Not once did I see Trump's name mentioned in the Bible as the Chosen One, who I always interpreted as Jesus. What is wrong with this country?

    I am a proud Christian and theologian in training, doing my PhD in theology. I love Jesus from the bottom of my heart. Now, for me, you guys are completely misconceiving Jesus and Christianity and don't get them right. Jesus always was on the side of those who are rejected by the culture. Jesus doesn't need to be defended, nor does Christianity. The majority of trans people do. I am not talking politics here, nor am I defending Biden. It just makes me so upset when we try to defend Jesus at the expense of people who might be suffering. The Jesus you are defending is not the Jesus of the Bible. Also, one of my closest friends is an amazing Christian and he is a trans man. One of the most beautiful and balanced people I have ever met. I thank God every day he is still choosing life and choosing God.

    Btw, I immigrated from the Middle East. My friends and people lived their whole life under attack because of their faith. They are persecuted. American Christians are persecuted?? This is extreme self centeredness. 

    To everyone who got hurt in the name of Jesus and Christianity I apologize, and I am so sorry. Today I choose to wash your feet as my master did. I defend Jesus when I love you. When I attack you to defend my dogma, I don't follow Jesus.
