  1. It is standard procedure to lay down some suppressive fire, in the direction you think u are being shot/attacked from. It makes sense that after the bomb went off, some dazed soldiers were just laying down fire in the direction they thought the attackers came from.

  2. People are armchairing this like its something thats controlled.

    Mass exodus

    Trying to control desperate humans

"Former enemies" literally shooting people to keep "the line down"

    Explosion that kills dozens

Yall wonder what Marines are shooting at.

    odd.

  3. Eye Witness Statement: They could not have shot in the air because we had been ordered not to use warning shots.

Conclusion: They shot into Afghan civilians.

  4. Why was nothing said about the rounds that were in the bodies. The size of the rounds might determine what weapons were used. That might determine whether it was our weapons. Not saying that the Taliban would not be using the same weapons but they usually used AK

  5. and this was towards the back end of the campaign, imagine how much happened before that they're covering up or straight up lying about? Look how Bush and Blair walked away practically scott free, sure some dirt on their names, but judicially free of charge. The world is a joke, and normal everyday human beings are the punchline.

  6. You've got to put yourself in their shoes though they might be thinking that the crowd has breached the perimeter by using a bomb and now they're flooding onto the airport threatening the lives of the legitimate people who are being flown out as well as American soldiers. You have limited time to think and limited information there could be another bomb blast at any moment they just don't know . No unarmed civilian should ever be shot but in this insurgency war the enemy does not wear uniforms. What a incredibly difficult and terrifying situation for those soldiers who are tasked with securing the area.

Another obvious point is there could be firing into the air to deter people breaching the perimeter. That's quite standard. The biggest hint to where the fire actually come from would be to analyse the bullets in the people who were wounded. But I'm guessing that didn't happen with the Taliban in full control of the city by this point.

I also find The fact that these soldiers get their names dragged through the mud For doing their job. Who would want to be a soldier when every time you defend yourself and kill somebody you're looking at losing your job you're looking at losing your career, Your health, your brothers in the military etc. It's so easy for us to sit here in our comfortable safe home playing the video and analysing it second by second this would have just happened in a flash for those soldiers. Unless malicious intent where they knew Someone was a civilian and shot them anyway unless that can be proven the soldiers have done nothing wrong Can't imagine the ptsd a lot of these soldiers are going through and to add to that they look on the news and see themselves being vilified. Absolutely terrible.

  7. Why is it news to everyone that civilians die in wars? They’re not the target, but it’s just the reality of war, so you all can be safe in your homes and streets.

  8. Stop villanizing the US military. Focus instead on the Taliban for harboring Al Queda and then doing nothing for decades to help the Afghan people.

  9. It is a horrible thing. Wish they would have fought for their country instead of letting the bandits in. We can’t really do much if they aren’t willing to defend themselves.

  10. And so??????……..who make the chaos???…..who make a horrible bomb blast into the middle of refugees ???……ok i get the point to reveal the truth, but this fact is a small part of the events…….the main part is the bomb blast who made the majority of the dead and the injuries people.

  11. CNN doesn't have the best record playing Monday morning guarterback. Look up their work on a piece about MACV SOG during the Vietnam war. The sounds of gunfire being heard in this video sound eerily like AK fire. Not the higher pitched crack of 5.56 rounds. Just sayin'… not saying the pentagon account is to be blindly trusted. I just don't take CNN's word on the color of shit.

  12. I do just want to point out that they are taking first hand accounts from people in the immediate vicinity of a rather large IED explosion, so I’d imagine knowing where shots are coming from or just hearing them would be difficult.. they may think they were sure but that dosent mean anything. and no where in the video can you tell where the shots were coming from, gun shots can be heard from a good ways away, so there is no telling if those were just down the road or half mile away.
