  20. Childrens testamony can be flawed for many reasons, and experts should always be brought in to deal with them. Ordinary investigators are not competent in this. Before any child's testimony can be reguarded, the child must be reinterviewed months apart. The true facts will be retold while the embellishments and false testimony can be discerned. Children lake experience in life and many reasons can taint their recalling of facts and details.

  26. I heard about this case a while back and it makes me SO upset. I absolutely don't believe Jordan did it, which means that not only did he lose his future mother and future sibling, he was also blamed for it and was forced to miss out on some of the most important and formative parts of his life for no reason at all. His father also lost his fiancée and, in a sense, two kids at once. I can't even imagine, I feel so deeply for both of them

  30. OK, in reality, we all know the current justice system is broken. (Especially in PA & commonwealth states). We see too many cases of guys been on death row for decades & then exonerated. Unfortunately, D.A,s look for convictions rather than the Truth. But, my BIG question is how are those wrongfully convicted compensated for those unjust lost years?. How much are they paid for lost years?

  39. Wow, but what do you expect from a town of population 600? A police dept. that arrests a child within 24 hrs. of the murder. It takes longer then 24 hrs. even with a rush to get "undisputable" forensic evidence back from the lab. prior to "authentic" (like taking a flu or strep test with doctor but shows maybe or a maybe not result with quick strip test, until the lab takes 72 hrs. to precisely give results from bacteria culture.) Supposedly the 11 yr old, who lived in the woods, with a family that owned over 10 guns & rifles who gave him a rifle to shoot when hunting with his dad. With parents or father who taught him how to hunt, shot and manage his weapon. In other words, maybe some 11 yr. olds its shocking to investigate and that they own a shotgun and have access. but this was a hunting community, and it was common practice. that has to be taken into legal consideration for circumstance. (I'm not saying anything is wrong with that per say, I'm highlighting from a legal standpoint, the "so called evidence is extremely disputable & most definitely probable to be thrown out.) had gunshot residue, any good attorney would tell them that he is a child and male children do not have good habits of washing their hands every day. His father took him hunting with that same rifle on a consistent basis, and the kid loved it and played with it, most likely behind the house when he was bored, because he could. Those are indisputable environment factors. Now lets focus on the nail in the coffin. It was – not the first or the second, but the third testimony from a 7 yr old little girl whose mother just died and felt the pressure that her first two statements didn't please everyone, who kept hounding her. So like all children under 12, "especially 7" she has the memory of a goldfish and fills in the blanks with imagination hoping that's what the adults want to hear. Any good attorney will tell you, that a child statement is practically impossible to hold up in court. Their brains do not pay attention to detail because they don't have to, and when they feel pressured, they make stuff up to stop the feeling of disappointment. There have been cases where children were "exceptional" character witnesses. But most of those rare few were ages 12-15 and were 2 feet away from the crime witnessing everything and every fear about it, and it was always a short testimony that needed to account for 3 min or less. This 7 yr. old changed her statement because she's a baby, and her mother just died and you were authority. Whatever path you choose to steer her towards, she would have followed it and gave you whatever she thought would make you happy. Not a good legal reason unless, forensic blood was on the child (or should I say both children, in relation to the "minutes" of timeframe he had to shoot her.) Unless profound (meaning a lot) forensic evidence was found on both children. (Being that both were at the house at the same time, both had access to the "so called murder weapon" and both ended up screwing over the other after several police interviews (but were kids!) what do we expect? The 7 yr olds testimony would be worthless in "MOST" courts unless it came with "forensic evidence" like a photo, video, blood of victim on clothing of child placing them at the scene." otherwise you have to, and "should" always listen to children who give statements, but do not compare or assume their tiny brains have the ability of an adult brain to comprehend, or communicate even relatively the same. Now, first…..a family history should have been addressed. if you are going to ruin destroy a child's entire life, you better be dang sure your right. Did he have a history of violence? Was he suspended or expelled from school for fighting or threatening to kill classmates? did the victim ever file a report or tell someone she was close to that she feared her stepson? did a psych that was "outsourced" from the county (not in gov pocket) did he conduct a full 5 day psych profile test. That consist of growth motor skills, hearing, learning disability like APD, OCD, Bi-Polar, Depression, Anxiety, exec…… They also do a four-hour oral and written test to provide medically approved psychological irregularities, (Pathological, Psychopathic, homicidal, suicidal, Firebug cidal,,,,,uncontrollable rage or tenancies) Multiple brain function chemical imbalance testing they have to provide to "convict any child of that crime, especially when your trying for the max penalty. If a "person" with needs to be the murder, and it has to be someone, They should've done their job and looked at "all possibilities" prior to jumping to conclusion with a "child" and didn't stop their focus after figuring he had to be it. Even if they think he was jealous with extreme separation anxiety of loosing his fathers love. If they thought that, its because its "common" for an only son who's attention has been replaced with a bunch of new family members…..its common at that age to "seem" jealous and even act out. But if he was a Killer…….it would have shown, and the signs would have been there, for the parents, teachers, friends and neighbors. I remember running away down the block for a few hours every time my parents made me feel less significant as a young child, eventually I got hungry and cold, and decided to come home. I was ages 7-10 when I did that. Children feel a lot. But Murder children, they're obvious, and most have zero remorse or emotion. The green river killer , slaughtered random woman ….over 50 were counted but the sheriffs along the California coast said that's just the ones they could tie to him…the actual number was a little over 200 woman. Other then about 4….they were strangers and convenient. The golden state killer, went into peoples homes, hotel rooms, killed coming to or from work, at stores , exec….you name it, he kidnaped tortured and killed it. And got away with it for 60 yrs. (only a few were tied to him, but he was a Gacy….he killed hundreds, and random rarely knew any of his victims for longer than the first 60 sec he stole and killed them. Bundy was the same, The Nightstalker climbed into windows killing random ppl for sick sport, my point is; it sucks, when its your investigation…..but it happens and you have to look everywhere IF ITS A SHOCK or surprise crime. You have to look further then your own town, and best to search beyond your state. The Memphis 3 were WRONGLY convicted, on zero evidence just bs hypothetical evidence. A common red string that over 8 thousand clothing items in that area sold. But the cops hated those "pot head kids" in a small town and no leads or suspects. So they do a search of the boys house, take his grandmothers sweater (zero body fluid forensic trace of any kind, Just a wool red sweater) and say it looks like the same cloth material with a forensic expert who says on the stand its common string and color and could be anyone's but they convict all 3 innocent boys ages 14-16 because they could. Meanwhile some random trucker or the crazy stranger in town at the Fastfood restaurant covered in head to toe in blood, they get dismissed. 20 yrs. later, its proved the boys where innocent , but lost everything including most of their lives. Because no one did their job in that town & didn't want it to be cold case cause some random trucker or randomly decided to be a sick twisted vile cereal killer.
