Bad News, Lufthansa Updates & Finnair Expansion

26

In continued bad news for Southwest, the airline says it’s likely to receive only 20 Boeing 737 MAX jets in 2024, less than half its revised March forecast, amid severe ongoing problems impacting the manufacturer. Meanwhile, Lufthansa has agreed to a pay rise of 16.5% with the union UFO, representing up to 19,000 flight attendants at the national carrier. Lastly, Finnair has announced a significant service expansion for 2024 and 2025, with growth in Japan, the United States, and several other markets.

  1. Hello,
I am a fan of your videos. I would appreciate if you add coverage to the sale of Air India's B747-400s. One of those is kept at the international apron of Mumbai Airport. Now it will be removed from there. So this is a request for you to give some farewell to a queen from an airline which was at the peak during the queen's era.

  2. We all seem to forgot Boeing killed hundreds of passengers due to their poor decisions. Decisions they KNEW were wrong. They’ve also killed at least one whistle blower. EVIL

  3. Companies need to have the facility/option of recovering bonuses from management teams years into the future. The slash and burn techniques for personal profit is disgusting. The world needs to wake up. Trashing great companies and losing thousands of jobs for the benefit of just a few.

  4. The southwest 737max they already have in their fleet is amazing. I first flew one on southwest when the crashes started and it was the smoothest and nicest flight ibe ever had. Little did i know i was playing russian roulette. Covid kept me off all flights for two years, but then when fixed i flew again and was on a few 737 max jets. They have. Conciderable size max jets already. I wonder if its easiky looked up. I send adsb data to adsb exchange so i get free premium service and can see all flights every plane has flown and all the registration and other info. Ill have to check it out.

  5. I have been a loyal United customer/flyer for over 40 years. After relocating to the Southeast, I switched to Delta because United either doesn't offer service or direct flights to where i need to be. Since United is predominantly Boeing, I'm now glad that i decided to switch carriers.

  6. The MAX is a death trap. No way I will fly on that thing. Chose to go JetBlue next week. Not on price but on aircraft type……no MAX and no potential for a substitute Boeing.

  7. Southwest's biggest problem isn't the MAX 8 production rate, it's the failure to start MAX 7 deliveries. Their 700NGs are ancient, heavily used, and airframe cracking has been a problem with old Boeing narrowbodies. The basic structure dates back to the 707

  8. Similar to what happened with the 787 between 2021 and 2023, Boeing likely has plenty of airframes already built, so once the FAA gives them clearance and certifies the Max 7, deliveries will likely be rapid. The 38 number is based on their output going forward. That doesn't include current inventory waiting to get cleared.

With regards to Finnair, I wonder if their 2025 forecast is based on being able to use Russian airspace next year. Something tells me that their planned scheduling is subject to change.
