The United Nations human rights director has said Israel may be using starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza. More than 70% of the population in northern Gaza are facing “catastrophic hunger” according to the UN.

BBC News has obtained exclusive video filmed by an American doctor in a hospital there, documenting the scale of the crisis caused by war and hunger.

Israel has denied that it is deliberately withholding food supplies and says aid deliveries will increase in the coming days.

  1. There are always sick people and suffering if you go to a hospital and the war makes it difficult more even. Right now in my country i can go to a hospital emergency and find a lot of dead and suffering people and when hospital is not well equipped because of hamas this gets worse. But these kind of news is sickening propganda

  24. The world is changing so faster today! The Chinese government almost introduces new rules and domineering clauses every month! So we also need to use new rules to deal with the unilateral rule hegemony of the Chinese government! For example, making the impeachment system of Chinese presidents a new rule!

  31. Gaza has been under Israeli siege by land, air & sea since 2007. That means that nothing can get in or out of Gaza without Israel permission. Food, water,medicines & fuel are all scarce. 70% of households in Gaza do not have adequate food. As a result of this Israelis siege, over 80% of Palestinian needs humanitarian aid.
