Biden Aims to EXPAND Electoral Map in 2024 Election

1. I'm sorry to all the democrats who would love for Biden to flip North Carolina, Florida, or Texas but if he didn't win the state in 2020, he's not going to win it this year. Considering that Biden is losing almost every poll in Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, etc, he should be focused on those states, not some far-off dream of flipping texas. I hope for the Biden's campaigns sake that he's smart about this election.

Be Advised: This is the time to trust what your heart tells you; Don't listen to the Media for any reason or anyone else. 13. Iowa, Ohio, Florida, & Texas are not swing states (2:10). North Carolina is iffy at best, but more plausibly within reach. Biden's best targets are Michigan, Pennsylvania, & Wisconsin. He still has an uphill battle as of 28 March, but nothing that could not swing to his favor in 6 months.

Imagine presidential elections in the U.S. where the candidates were competing for the NATIONAL majority vote, and would therefore need to campaign across the country in every state instead of concentrating on just 4-5 states and elections would likely be decided by millions of voters instead of just a few thousand. If just a few more states join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, this could become a reality.

19. Honestly at this point it feels like the Democratic Senate campaigns are having to lift up Biden rather than the other way around. I predict you’re going to see strong candidates like Gallego in Arizona and Slotkin in Michigan boosting the overall Democrat image and boost turnout with people saying “Well I wasn’t enthusiastic about Biden but if I’m already going out for the Senate might as well.”

38. I’m honestly not convinced Texas will go to Trump. Yes, it probably will, but it’s closer than people realize. Trump won it by 6% in 2020. Since then, 1) Trump betrayed the constitution, pushing moderates away, 2) the economy opened up, bringing in jobs from out of state, 3) corruption scandals have erupted in Texas’ republican leadership, 4) Ted Cruz’s senate seat had been placed in jeopardy, and 5) Trump had torpedoed a bipartisan border deal.

    Add in the effect of Roe being overturned, and it’s going to be close. Probably not enough to flip it but it’s not impossible.

39. This is a bad move. NC is a waste of time. They need to focus on Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

40. My guess is the pollsters are underestimating the women turnout for this election. Women Voters have so much more to lose this election than ever before.

41. One of 3 things could be happening. 1. Biden is seeing favorable internal polling or getting information that is not public that makes him think he can expand the electoral map he won in 2020. 2. Biden is trying a strategy in which it forces Trump to focus efforts in the sunbelt so Biden can win through the rust belt . 3. Biden is making the same mistake Hilary did and focusing on states he shouldn’t be meanwhile ignoring the historically democrat rust belt

42. So, what happened with the political trajectory of NC? After Obama won it in 2008 and narrowly lost the state to Romney in 2012, I thought it was leaning more purple like its neighbor Virginia. Republicans now have a supermajority in both state chambers. Perhaps I naively thought Research Triangle’s growth would lead to significant increase of pharmaceutical expats from Boston/Cambridge and New Jersey and become like the Northern Virginia region, which helped push Virginia to become more blue. That said, I didn’t realize that Beasley did relatively well despite losing.

44. I think the Dems have kind of written off NC GA and AZ. Seems like they’re going to focus on the blue wall of PA MI and WI. Trump is up in all of these states when the third party folks are included in the polling. Hence their aggressive push to keep them off of the ballot.

45. I think the governors race will make NC very competitive given how crazy the GOP gubernatorial candidate is.
