  4. You know what would lead to really good scientific advancements that would propel mankind into a wonderful future? If we got rid of patents, made education free, and got rid of as many worthless jobs as possible while providing a universal basic income so that people can actually get that education rather than spending all day churning out cheap plastic crap made to break (instead of finding ways to make things last) for a quick profit. You have millions of people who are incredible passionate about learning things like science and don't care about money, but we are stuck in worthless jobs because college doesn't make logical sense financially.

  8. China has proven that a better system than the combo of capitalism+democracy does exist. China has done more in last 30 years than the US has done in last 300, without attacking other countries.

  19. "The market system is brutal" hahah No, Warren, you're referring to the capitalist market system, and there's little distinction there. It's amusing when people claim, "Well, capitalism works…" Sure, it might help you amass wealth, if that's your measure of success. But is it ethical? Is it sustainable? Is it future-proof, or does its implementation harm the planet? And eventually lead to a big problem? These are questions worth pondering. It's also curious how some only acknowledge capitalism or socialism, as if nothing else has occurred or will occur on this planet… a false dichotomy?

  20. They are very clever. More progressive taxes is fine by them, but not a cap on wealth. They probably have a way to pay less effective taxes, so raising taxes would not hurt them much but will keep their less monopoly competition down. All the while strawmanning socialism by giving a thumbs up to social democracy.

    These three are silent on capitalism’s drive to war, austerity and dictatorship.

    US imperialism is seeking to maintain its hegemony over the world economy for the benefit of these three and their brethren.

  28. It is so hard to watch these people convince an entire species to continue to be slaves for them, and to see that species be completely ripped away from nature to benefit less than 1/10 of one percent of that species.

    To say that we have done a good job is absolutely crazy! For him to be able to say that from his pedestal is something else

    I’m really hope we wake up soon because this cannot continue like this. it’s mathematically impossible, why are we all being told to do it anyway.

    If the three of these men gave the workers that created their wealth a fair share, that is literally everyone reading this, we could destroy this rich man’s economy and have an economy that produces for people, not profits.

    But unfortunately, here we are as a species all suffering from the exact same sickness that is going to enslave us. Capitalist realism runs rampant in our society. We cannot fathom a life outside of our slavery and therefore defend it with our lives.
