Denmark’s historic old stock exchange building in the centre of Copenhagen has been engulfed by fire.

The 17th Century Børsen is one of the city’s oldest buildings and onlookers gasped as its iconic spire collapsed in the flames.

Everyone inside the building was able to leave and people rushed to rescue some of its historic paintings.

  1. Call me when Buckingham Palace is up for restoration lol. This is infuriating that a structure which has stood for hundreds of years. Is taken down by the very thing which was supposed to protect it.

It seems to me major reforms are needed within the restoration industry in regards to historical structures. So more tragedies don't continue to happen in the future. This was sinceless and presentable.

  2. Thor Father whose art is heavenly. Hollowed be thy name. Thy kingdom Scum. Thy Wills be done. On Hearth and beyond the heavens. Give U.S. this day Thor daily Breadys. And forgive U.S. their Jordashes. As we forgive those whose Jaws we must Dash. Lead U.S. not unto the Temptations. Butt deliver U.S. unto Deliverance. 😂😂

  3. As a Dane, it's not that serious, something was bound to happen at some point, we can't keep old buildings forever. Still quite unlucky that it was due to a fire

  4. A message to America: Provide more military aid to Ukraine. What is more important are migrants in America, from whom the country wants to protect itself, but migrants move up the country’s economy. Or is it more important that 40 million Ukrainians do not become slaves of the Putin regime? Of course, Ukraine is more important

  5. WHAT THE HECK?!!! I thought we learned this lesson from Notre Dame Cathedral. PEOPLE!!! Listen!!! When you are renovating an irreplaceable monument, the point is not to burn the original structure to the ground.
