Economic Nightmare: Nearly 50 Percent Of All The Jobs Lost During The COVID-19 Pandemic “May Be Gone Permanently”
While millions of Americans were losing their job at the start of this epidemic, we were told not to worry because almost all these workers would return to their old jobs when the crashes were only temporary and crashes ended.
Now we learn that this is not realistic. Over the past 18 weeks, more than 52 million Americans have made new claims regarding unemployment money, and a large part of them are dealing with a permanent job loss
In fact, a brand new study has discovered that 47 percent of all unemployed workers believe that “job losses will be permanent”.
It comes from the USA Today article entitled “Almost half of all jobs lost during a pandemic today can be permanently lost”…
|In April, 78% of those in households experiencing job loss felt that that situation would be temporarily. But now, 47% think that job loss is likely to be permanent, according to The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
But meanwhile, the pandemic is a long way from being over, and until the situation improves, those who are out of work will likely need assistance for a long time.
