1. It didn't have to be this way, Spin Spin Ben. We know you are just doing damage control, but it looks ugly, because you are in direct conflict with your company's mission statement of a month ago. We see you have changed directions (you can do that because it's your company). You have a new mission statement you are pursuing now. That change, now gives me and anyone else the right to feel different about your company’s new direction. I choose to put less credence in what you advocate anymore, based on your new self-proclaimed Overton window.

5. Gen Xer here. There needs to be a huge campaign nationwide to educate young people and their parents about this. I liken this to the epidemic of my youth, AIDS. I grew up when AIDS was almost certainly a death sentence. We were barraged with info about HIV and AIDS that stressed that just one incidence of unprotected sex could kill you. The info didn’t just come from school or the news. MTV played a big part in education too. That was important, getting the info out to us via a "cool" forum that we actually paid attention to. Get the influencers on this. Get the music industry industry. Treat this as seriously as we took AIDS in the late 80s and early 90s.

13. My gf lives in Mexico and her brother who worked for the Mexican government, told me that Mexicans knew better not use Fentanyl and it was too expensive for Mexicans to buy. This was a few years ago.
    In the last year, several articles have come out saying the Cartel are experiencing with new Recipes on Mexicos homeless especially border cities.
    I also think USC or UCLA did a study on Tijuana pharmacies last year or so and found some pills laced with fentanyl in many of their containers.

14. Ben is absolutely right about these addicts not being able to get off fentanyl, heroin and pills. Thankfully I never got addicted to them I liked Coke too much however everyone else in my friend group and my daughter are addicted. If they are trying to get straight they are on Suboxone or Methadone and they never get off that. The only people I have seen quit did so because they died. Most overdoses or criminal activity gets them killed. Heartbreaking for those that love them

Megyn, I was an addiction counselor in the Chicago area and it was hard to believe that when someone died of a heroin overdose that was laced with something stronger, the clients would ask where they got it and some would leave treatment to go get some of the heroin that was laced with something stronger

46. It’s horrific to see these drug addicts in such bad shape in San Francisco. The coroner hauls off 4-5 dead bodies from the streets on a daily basis in SF.
