We don't have an opioid epidemic. We do have an issue with China flooding fentanyl into the US but that's not the same as an opioid crisis purported by pharmaceutical companies. I would also wager that relaxing opioid regulations and laws would be better destabilizing the black market that exists.

I generally like vice videos but this one has me especially triggered because it appears heavily one-sided.
The people who have OD'd on oxycontin.. was that the only drug in their system? How do we know they OD'd on the drug? Who's completing the autopsies and what are their credentials?
