  1. Not even the pub attached to my student residence in Brno had 60p pints (50cl, really) lol, it was 22 czk and that's the cheapest I've seen in the entire country (I've stayed there for a year)

  2. Whenever I read an article like this I immediately know the author has never been there. Dead giveaways are stock photos, lack of speciifcs, and following a horrible SEO formula that sucks all life from the writing.

Unfortunately most people consume these articles without question, otherwise Google wouldn't rank them. Thank you for highlighting the issue.

  3. This is one of the worst and most irritating czech traits this guy has. Absolutely obsessed with detail and rule following and cannot think outside the square at all. I have seen this in many many many czechs. Like dude you need to phucking relax you are just making mountains out of mole hills for the sake of content. 😂😂

  4. I honestly don’t understand why people even visit Prague anymore. It’s no longer a real city, there are only tourists in the pretty city center. Locals, understandably frustrated, won’t even try to act friendly. They can no longer afford to live there because every apartment has been turned into an Airbnb. Everywhere you turn, there’s a sea of people, diluting any sense of genuine atmosphere. It’s like you’re at Disneyland. Nothing is authentic, every shop has been designed for tourists and there are so many tourist traps and scams. Whenever you exit a subway there are guys targeting tourists to check whether you didn’t forget to validate your ticket (and give you a fine). And because of the articles mentioned in this video (cheap booze etc) the type of tourist that visits Prague is also the worst. Amsterdam has this same problem (but at least they’re actively trying to change their image). There are much nicer places to go to than Prague

  5. I guess if you go to a supermarket outside of the 'old centre', you will get some 'pint' that are less expensive still. And go to another store to get the glass and drink it inside your hostel-room or cheaper accomadation.
Now many years ago I was doing cycling-trips in the CZ and also met lots of youngmen getting drunk but mostly in pubs and tasting all local beers. I did drink too much some days too…. always nice to try local drinks and food.

  6. Could you review Prague's football stadium and food served there? Does it look like a typical scam (in Poland every stadium in 1st league food is terrible, not eatable and scam). I wonder how it looks in most known Czech teams Slavia/Sparta.

  7. The article on Christmas Markets seems like it was written as a listing, not a road trip, hence the order. You seem a bit confused about the style of the article. Do you have any experience in journalism? Pretty common to see an overview of destinations, I wouldn't let it ruin your day.

  8. The introduction to this episode reminded me how important what you do here is for tourists. I've been to Prague once, during the Christmas market, and aside from the beautiful landmarks, I was quite disgusted by everything else. A mediocre restaurant that charged me extra for dry bread served as an appetizer, which I couldn't refuse, and similar stories left me disenchanted with Prague for a long time, until I discovered this channel and realized that I had become a typical victim of scammers and that exploring Prague could be a much better and more enjoyable experience. Thank you for that.

  9. Obviously I don't know the specifics about this Prague project, but architecture competitions should generally not be confused with a final decision on what building is going to be build, at least not in the sense of "project A won, thus project A will be build". Often enough it's a different project that ultimately gets build, after adjustment.

These competitions are held because it's a lot of work to design such a building. That costs money, and even if your building isn't being build, you want something out of it – thus there's competitions, and the top10 or so receive money and recognition, just like a sports competition really.

But after that, the design will be further refined, elements from different proposal combined, adapted, further judged for practicality or changed requirements etc.

  10. £1.2 pound is 1 pound 20. We can tell English is not your first language here 😂. If you say it £1.20 as one pound twenty people will believe your English more. But then you English is better than my Czech. 😂
