  1. Seriously, you can't fix NPR. Not very easily. The liberal bias has permeated just about every corner of the organization. Just listen to the topics covered and how they are covered and who they talk to and how questions are asked. It's really quite sickening. They have a ridiculous program "all things considered" which I prefer to call "only particular perspectives considered". Just get rid of it. What good service does it provide other than being a public mouthpiece for the "progressive" liberal narrative?

  2. "If they want to let that run…" No, Tyrus. You're wrong. NPR should not exist. That solves the problem correctly. The Federal Government should not be taking money from taxpayers to fund something that is done already in the free market. "Defund NPR" is an appropriate use of the term. However, "Defund The Police" is not – because law enforcement is something the Federal Government is supposed to fund, since it's the core defining purpose of all national government: protecting the individual rights of its citizens.

  3. First off, that 1%line is BS, but even assuming it's true, than they should be able to carry on without it, right? However, the corporate funding and underwriting is done primarily for the tax write-off, meaning that all that money is taxpayer money just through a more indirect route. The only line of Harold Ford's usual mealy-mouthed defense of the indefensible that I will agree with is "I hope they fix it." And when I say "fix it," I mean to fix it in the same way one fixes a pet!

  4. Click and clack we're the only reason to listen to ever listen to NPR. I would rather listen to the sound of the tires on the pavement than to listen to NPR now that they're not doing the show. RIP clack.
