  15. What's crazy is China would throw thousands of bodies at a similar issue and have this moved in a few days/week. Now, I would hate to live under that regime, but that's one of the benefits for the Government is they can just whistle and problems get solved. This will take WAY too long for how rich the US is, 60m seems like a joke amount of money for such a big port. We got aircrafts carriers that cost 14b a pop, we need to throw hundreds of billions at our infrastructure and cut it from the military as we've now realized we are literally light years ahead of our "peer" aka Russian military.. we've been overselling countries military capabilities for decades to keep getting huge budgets. Seems like domestic infrastructure should be just as or more important than having 11 aircraft carriers and there support vessels, just so odd to me.. we want to control the World and the Seas but we don't even fix internal issues. Why can't we have both? or a mix? as we clearly have the money.

  17. The most important thing for us to know regarding the investigation of the ship. How in the world did the ship lose power? The rest is bla, bla, bla! We know what they have to do.

  19. The only truth is the US has the best printing machine to prine money, the efficiency of salvage effort and bridge reconstruction ability are still stage at 3rd world country's level standard😅

Whenever the bridge gets rebuilt and the cargo ships are able to get back normal again I think that it would be a really great idea to have a couple tug boats to escort these ships until they get past the bridge and that means both ways and no ships will be allowed to ever go under the bridge again unless they have tugboats that can handle them from hitting the bridge again.

  27. Question: Can the metal recovered from the bridge be recycled? Is someone somewhere trying to figure out how this massive amount of material may be collected after retrieval and how to responsibly process and repurpose it? Are there any industry partners that have need of any of the raw materials or components?
