5. There are People who want to work and don't mind working hard and putting in extra hours to get the Job done. There are also people who are afraid to work hard and get their hands dirty. Both types are in the workplace, the first earns their money, the latter reaps the benefit of the firsts' efforts, Skaters, Coat-tailers, Parasites and Leeches. In any other situation, the Skaters would be weeded out, BUT we have Unions forcing Companies to keep the Leeches on the Payroll, who punish the Person who is willing to work hard. I've seen and experienced this first hand. Unions were created to protect workers from unfair and dangerous employment, not any more. Unions are now the destroyers of Jobs and Opportunities in this Country.

6. Educated Americans are also NOT participating in the corrupt, greedy, fake, exploitative jobs market! WHY? The wages are toooooooooooooooooo phhuuuuuuuuuukkkkking low! Working has no value if one CANNOT enjoy thier life debt free and actually live a dignified and self actualized happy life! Pay up livable wages of $33/Hour and up that MUST rise 3%+ faster than inflation at all times for ANY job!

9. You need to send recruiters over to CANADA to recruit CANADIAN tradespeople IN PERSON. Take out a half page advertisement in the Vancouver Sun and the Toronto Star newspapers offering employment in the trades. Rent a conference room at a local hotel in Canada over a few weekends. Send recruiters to sign CANADIAN trades people up to work at YOUR construction firm in person. As long as you are willing to pay for their relocation expenses, you'll have THOUSANDS of CANADIAN tradespeople who would be VERY HAPPY to relocate to a job in the U.S.A!!! TRY IT!!!

18. A huge contributor to the low participation rate are not only bad jobs, but bad co-workers. I escaped white collar work only to end up in a blue collar job with "boys" not men. Losers, especially from outside the country. My blue collar job has turned into an office job again with all the same politics and backbiting. This is why I seek jobs with the LEAST amount of responsibility.

21. I can speak with more experience and expertise and either one of these two. I am a little bit older than both of them and I have experiences that they do not have. They should try working full-time and making less than what's required to buy food and pay rent. They won't do this because it's too much of a difficult education. It is a part of our culture to disrespect employees, their work and pay them slave labor. All employers think it is there right to steal from employees if they can get away with it.

24. Mike I totally agree only 50%. I have been living and working in the US for more then 50 years as Management. As Supervisor, Manager, and Operations in both USA and EU owned Companies. In fact my latest job was a Manager for a German company in the US. I have hired and fired more employees than you can imagine. Most were young workers in multi. positions. Some just needed the extra money so they can buy cell phones, do their hair or nails and support their habits. Others in most cases were upset how management treated them which created an environment of " I DON'T CARE ". It's not always about the money. I have always been a hands on Manager and fully fit to still do so but I have to say that the way Management in this country handles associates or should I say " the lack of the needs " of running an enjoyable work place to come off that ladder from time to time and feel the pain their subordinates feel. Most Managers sit in the office all day or in meetings and have no idea what really goes on outside of that office. Treating them to lunch from time to time, giving them PTO only to come back to the same mismanaged place of work does not correct an employee's out look on a company. I know that. I Managed my family owned business for 21 years and in those 21 years also managed multi. departments in two other businesses. After those 21 years I took a leap into the corporate since for that very same reason. That was even a bigger mistake. Bottom line, businesses are suffering and that is 50% of the problem.

    I just find that comment degrading, like the government is our parents and their not doing a good job of disciplining us.
    Pay us more, offer more benefits.
    Treat us like an asset and not a commodity.
    They've treated us like renewable resource and now that they can't find anyone they are confused lol.

28. I have several friends and relatives who had to make life changing decisions when the government told their employers to force them to take an experimental drug and the companies went along with it.
    Two of them refused and were fired. One could not afford to quit, was very against the shot, but took it to keep the job. How much do you think she loves her company now? People now know that their employer will sell them out to the government in order to remain in business. What company stood up for their people and told the government NO? People don't like the government, and if the company is just an extension of the government, then people will choose poor freedom over comfortable slavery.

29. Funny I have two bachelors degrees, journeyman ticket, obviously follow things through, and zero responses. And remember, Joey Holz–a worker in Florida applied to 60 entry-level jobs in September and got one interview. They want third world labour. And the big corporations need DIE, diversity, inclusion, and equity. The culture of hiring is pay zero for labor.
