16. Greed is part of the human races make up , if you look at all the extremely corrupt countries in the world they are autocracies or worse, the leaders are not accountable by genuine elections so are corrupt and when overthrown it is by another government that wants to line its own pockets.
    In these nations like Venezuela, Russia to a degree, half of the middle east and most of Africa along with some of Asia there are some very greedy very rich people that exploit their own people and create poverty on a scale that is inhuman.
    These countries like to blame colonization for being poor but that is not the case, natural resources in Africa should make it a rich continent in general but it is poor.
    Democracy is the only way this will end just as democracy ended poverty in the west, nobody wants to invest in a country that is likely to steal their investment when it makes money, there is always a war or 2 going on in Africa and the middle east also because of greed. I can't see this ever ending because it is so wide spread, Africa should be like the EU trading as a unit and having more power but it can't because the leaders can't share power they want it all.
    In truth if it was still colonized but in a modern fair way then it would be a rich continent.
