Prince Harry under fire for wearing medals during army award presentation

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says Prince Harry was involved in a “kerfuffle” after choosing to wear medals during a remote presentation of a US army award.

The Duke of Sussex has copped criticism for wearing four medals – including his grandmother’s various Jubilees – while handing out the award for Military Times Soldier of the Year to combat medic Sergeant First Class Elizabeth Marks.

“People are questioning why he didn’t wear the medal that he got for coming to the King’s coronation,” Ms Krakue said.

“People are saying that’s a snub to the King and he’s trying to create a clear line between his life pre-the Queen and before he fled to the US with Meghan and after, when his father became King.

“Obviously it’s hard to tell whether these kinds of moves are calculated by the Sussex’s because that would require us to give them a degree of intelligence and cleverness.”

  20. You all keep trying to diminish Harry without seeing his strong ties to the military community. There are several occassions on which he has been asked to address military events in the US. Outside of the UK people recognize actions not presumed status. Harry has been putting in the work with the Invictus Games. I don't believe Mike is a working royal either so not sure how you would justify that.

  21. Esther, Esther, Esther, the British media does not understand how the rest of the world sees Harry. The BM is trying to destroy H& M and they believe they can try to take the Invictus Games from him. They would only be destroying the games in the process. Harry has the relationships to start a spin off and leave the UK by itself, or have a knock down drag out fight in court that shows the rest of the world the pettiness of the powers that be. The Invictus Games is the most successful of any patronage sponsored by the RF, maybe they could give Mike one of the other charities that need help.

  23. Well, he needs to tone it down w Meghan taking charge. At 42, she wants to be black. She not of color. She is black and white and she hasn't seemed to be near black. They have been used by markle and harry to get as much money as they can…huge amounts of cash for her clothes, jewelery 5 star hotel stays (all this from invictis money.. shameful

  29. bunker harry is being pathetic again, he handed out aviation awards, when he himself is no pilot, his brther is and certified, and did search and rescue for years, he disrespects the queen again, the metals she gave him, and invictius was created by the queen, and given to both boys, and kate, so ahrry needs to stop lying, and him doing documentary about polo, when he has bad history with horses, he beat a pregnant horse to death, is not a good look for him
