By 1968, at 47 years old, Suharto emerged as Indonesia’s number one man. For the next three decades, Suharto and his family allegedly amassed the largest ill-gotten fortune in all of Asia.
Most of which would likely never be recovered, constituting a $35 billion theft that continues to haunt Indonesians till this day.
