Proposal – No Hungry Child Act – the aim of this Act is to provide one nutritionally appropriate meal to every child so as to ensure that no child goes hungry, and all children receive a nutritional diet that supports and maintains healthy growth. The Act covers babies from birth to 16 years. Government will pay for one meal per day, that meets the FDA Food Nutrition Standards for children and covers all major food groups, fruit & vegetables, meat/fish/tofu/meat substitute/fish, diary/soy, bread/pasta/rice/beans/corn. The Act will ensure that every American child from a poor, or low income family, shall receive adequate nutrition. Every child in the program will be issued a pass/epass that is valid at all government approved food providers and at all state certified, registered, licensed cafes, restaurants, or food outlet that meet national food quality and nutrition standards. The meal must be consumed at point of purchase by the child. The meal must be nutritional, high in protein, fibre, vitamins and low in salt, sugar, fat, and not consist of ‘junk’ food. Abuse of the NHCA will result in revocation of access to the program for three days for children and three weeks for businesses providing meals.

  6. Back in the 90's I work offshore out on the Gulf of Mexico contracted with oil companies ExxonMobil. Shell and Marathon. All these companies along with dozens of others had a stern regulation restricting catering companies severing any leftover food. and majority of the cooks would have a variety of meals to serve the crews giving them selection of whatever they wanted. For example, dinners. You could have a choice of Lobster, Fish, Shrimp, Steak, Potatoes, Vegetables, Fruits, so on. Or all. and there were always leftovers. Enough that one oil rig could feed a family or two. But all the extras were tossed over the side. feeding the fish. spools of barracudas would circle the legs of the rig below. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. View thousands of oil rigs on the Gulf of Mexico repeating this cycle. Thousands of hungry children, whole entire families could be fed. Instead, the rich oil typhons, even the government would rather toss it to the fish. If anyone worked offshore on the rigs out in the gulf. They should know this. This action has been going on probably since like the 50's. if not earlier' and still.

They waist 30 years of there life trashing there money in rent and is rent rent rent rent rent but never have any interest buying a home and when u have to trash money that u don’t have them that’s where the crisis is! Is not that people are poor is that there irresponsable waistline there life in rent slavery and they don’t think about one day there getting wrinkles all over there ass to the point u will no be able to be a rent slave anymore! That’s the biggest problem I see!!

    My roomate wont get a job becouse programs get her more money and free things like winter cloths, fresh cañ, fruto and veggies most of that food end upin the garbage, ppl re sale Milk and eggs and things they dont eat… theres help everywhere, schoos,church, goverment, get a f. Job ppl

  31. When I was going through a hard time, I had no problem going to the food pantry, I had kids to feed. It taught me many lessons and one is to be prepared as much as possible for anything to happen.

  49. Nowadays most people want new cars and nice clothes and a cell phone with data and a flatscreen tv etc..that's not asking alot if you are employed in a sustained economy. What people are having to come to terms with now however is that the economy is totally fucked and no longer sustains them and they cant afford a carrot. Before bush left how much money did he give to General Motors.? Before him Clinton who enabled the banking sector lend people more money than they should borrow. People going in the hole financing things creating a FALSE boom in the economy. "A housing boom. AS LONG AS YOU CAN MAKE YOUR PAYMENTS ". We know how that turned out. Shits been going on a long time and now this debt and this failed economy and all these hungry homeless people are like 1 gigantic snowball headed downhill picking up steam at a fucking alarming pace getting bigger and bigger.
