29. I am a non-partisan election monitor in the State of Michigan. We are online, networked in real time and mostly watch for crazy people. The polls run so well that there is really little to monitor in terms of operation.

    If the Rs do indeed try to have armed monitors at the polling places in Michigan, they will A) have to do it over the nine days that the polls are open and B) get ready to talk to the police if and when they do.

    Talk is cheap. The local R Party organizations have so little money that it is hard to imagine how they will be able to staff and pay for the phone banks needed to call "every single voter".
