  1. job numbers mean very little
compare inflation and growth , for a real world look into people's lives
    Biden's America – 6.5 % inflation – 1.5 % growth
    Trump's America – 1.5 % inflation – 6.5 % growth
    you are welcome

  2. The Joe Biden economy strikes again.

General Motors is asking employees to take a voluntary buyout. It’s a way of cutting jobs without technically laying off any workers.

How many of these workers do you suppose voted for Biden and Democrats?

    ABC 12 in Michigan reports:

GM said no layoffs. Now it’s asking workers to quit

General Motors said in January it would save $2 billion without planning any layoffs. But on Thursday it said it was looking for workers to leave voluntarily.

  3. The average cost of living is $3000/Month and the average retail job pays $2600/month. This is causing retail employees to either take a second job or use credit to live. With the increase in interest rates people are not going to be able to pay off their credit and will default on unsecured loans which will affect the banks. As these defaulted credit loans affect future housing and car loans that market will eventually catch up and suffer by fewer people being able to qualify for loans. So Yay more jobs are being created but insufficient for cost of living

  4. Stop lying! Please, just [stop] with the lies. Inflation will continue to grow. New taxes will be added. The cost of living has been steadily increasing and will continue with the billions and billions sent to wars with no end. You want to talk numbers… How many people live in America?

    Population in the US
    336 million as of 2023
    Unemployed in the US
    5.7 million as of 2023

How many of those added jobs are full-time? More than half, that's about 150K which is good enough to help a person become self-independent without financial aid for food stamps, or being a roommate to help with paying rent. How many of those added jobs will be filled in 2023 because the applicant meets all the requisites? Less than the 150K so now you have only about 75,000 positions that the general public can realistically qualify for when they apply.

Let's recap our [strengthening] market… Out of 336 million, 5.7 are unemployed but unless they have a high school degree or equivalent, there are only 75K positions they can apply for. Oh yeah! America is becoming great again. Don't worry about the few millions who end up on the street if they cannot get help, let's focus on the 0.1% who can work and call the day a success and get my six-figure check from taxpayers from the lie I just told.

Good job market economists! Keep up the amazing encouraging essays. 👍🏼

  5. The service industry is the only vehicle by which Americans can realize their dreams. I’m a working class guy in that industry and we lost a lot of people during the pandemic to IT, sales and finance. Now cubicle jobs are all drying up because AI can do sales, number crunching and coding better. Come back in to the service industry, the water is warm and we’re driving this economy. The working class hospitality industry is the heartbeat of America!

  6. Why aren't we talking about the mass-disabling of long covid survivors? So may adults did not return to the work force because they are too sick to work. There are people out there with immune system issues that are forced out of the workforce because they get covid a lot on a job. There are people who have been sick since spring 2020 who are still suffering. More needs to be done to help those people, and let's not pat Biden on the back too hard for these numbers if a lot of adults are just not working.
