US company makes historic Moon landing | BBC News

An American company has made history by becoming the first commercial outfit to put a spacecraft on the Moon.

Houston-based Intuitive Machines landed its Odysseus robot near the lunar south pole, more than 50 years on from the last Apollo mission in 1972.

It was an important moment, not just for the commercial exploitation of space, but for the US space programme in general.

Nasa had purchased room on Odysseus for six scientific instruments, and its administrator Bill Nelson was quick to add his congratulations to Intuitive Machines for a mission he described as a “triumph”.

  1. Americans were shamelessly trying to cover up this mission's failure as success.
But this is age of information .
This lander didn't even last a week rolled over and crashed.

  2. Thanks for confirming that the original moon landings were absolutely faked!! The landing should and would have been televised if the company were capable of doing so, but it's not. The intelligent humans of this world know that it's simply NOT possible.
No human on board after 50 years tells me everything I need to know.
Even with our current technology this company wasn't capable of doing 1/3 of what they achieved 50 years ago 🤷‍♂️🤣 I call bullshit on that one.
I'm glad I can finally put this one to rest.

  3. Its 2024, there are no cameras on the moon, and all we see is a room of people and computers clapping telling us they did it again. Oh and some animations. Totally believable

  4. Another 3D simulation and no actual footage of "the landing" and not a single real HD photograph of the earth from the entire mission and the world especially the Americans still believe this shit???
