I pray for the people who lost their lives doing what they loved doing God rest there souls now 2 things if the ship was having problems from the beginning with there power there should be right per NTSB to recommend back up generator to be installed on ever large cargo ship 🚢 you have so many years to have it installed almost like how they made mandatory breaking systems on ffreight trains a few years back 🚆 🚄 also Tug boats should by LAW have to escort these container ships PASS any bridges til clear & it could be mandatory til backup generator are installed or til ever bridge that large ships pass should be mandatory to have these large bumper that are to protect any bridges column I believe the Best Rose in Philadelphia had them installed to protect the bridges column Federal government should make it a mandate if your bridge in your state doesn't have them you have a certain amount of time to have installed in the water & this is necessary ONLY if large vessel pass under your bridge in your state Evidently you wouldn't need them if small fishing boats only pass so it should narrow down alot what bridges need them installed this is 2 things that can save Catastrophes like what happened to this bridge in baltimore next I would say the moment the ship is have problems a MADAY should be sent out immediately so it could have given the bridge worker 5 or 10 minutes to clear the bridge where are bridges spotters if the MAYDAY goes out then a very loud whistle sound should be on the ships with flashing lights which could warn anyone on the Bridges to get off because of a run away ship I am throwing anything out here to hopefully make someone in our government say yes some of these are good ideas 💡 I want us to be educated and to try and avoid something like this from happening again thank God we learned from the titanic with enough life boats so I want great minds to Implement & changes Policy any vessel this size need a backup generator to just get control of the large vessels to at least stop it it would have saved so many lives also something like making tug boats make sure they escort any large vessel til it pass the bridges structure and if there any issues there should be a panic button on the boat bridge to hit like a RED button installed & yellow or Red very bright light flashing along with the very loud sound installed on the bow of ship that would have made every worker on the bridge look and possibly had time to escape because of the siren 🚨 & lights all they need was to get to a part of the bright that didn't claspe thats what a little time could have done for them a little heads up warning & they would have Taken the lights & siren seriously because they would have been told leave anything & get off the bridge ASAP

9. I work in the commercial shipping industry, maintaining the ship is not a top priority. Guarantee it was a known equipment issue and the crew put bubblegum and tape on it and said let’s sail
