  1. We should not be giving them any money at all .why is biden giving them our taxpayers money.?just another waste of the taxpayers money..the shipping company should cover the cost of everything..i am sure they are covered by insurance…..biden needs to stop using taxpayers money on things that dont require taxpayers money..this is outrageous..you American people better start speaking up about what is going on in our country..immediately. where is the media on this?????

  2. You fools dont understand this by time they get all the details and get thatoney from them it can be months 😅 they wsnt to get rhos done now

  3. I totally oppose rebuilding this bridge, or any bridge for that matter. We are in a climate emergency. Besides, we have to discourage people from driving their own cars at Will. We should take this money and invest it in mass transportation.

  4. Bidum, how much more do you think the United States can spend. It is called insurance that should be covering all the costs of the stupidity of the Capitan of the barge. So what you are allowing is double dipping. To the people, if they don't take care of you, then you will realize how much your politicians care about you.

  5. It’s amazing how selfish people are. They wouldn’t be complaining about the cost and saying that they shouldn’t receive federal money if the disaster happened in their district. It’s absurd. I agree with respect to the insurance company paying for it, but who knows how long that will take? We can recoup the costs and be made whole but we need to take care of our people now.

  6. For those debating who is to be blamed for this happening down in the comments you need to take into account that.

    1. The Dali had a by the looks of it Full Blackout meaning no propulsion nor steering or ordinary comms. Which means yes she moved but that was from Inertia and the movement of the sea.
The only thing they could do was to lower the anker and warn over the Pilots Comms, Which by all current accounts it seams like they did.

    2. The Bridge did by current info seem to lack decent protective Structures for a Bridge of this size and a Shipping area this busy. The design is really not suitible by modern standards for this type of high risk area.

    3. Should there even be a bridge in this area and not a tunnel?. What reason was there for not building a tunnel in the 70's?, And instead of Rebuilding the Bridge maybe a Tunnel will be a better option today?.

For Similar accidents that happened you can read or look up Tampa Bay bridge in the U.S and Almö Bridge Disaster in Sweden and Tasmania bridge collapse.
All happened close to the same time and all were Sgips colliding with poorly protected Pylons.

  7. Clearly you people don’t understand all of the red tape that they will have to go through to have the company pay for the bridge. Of course it was the company’s fault but the company is not going to claim fault they’re going to claim something else and it’s going to be a delayed process.

  8. Some are saying this was a planned event – I am sure the kickback schemes and redirecting of gov cash is already in play. Those in the know just gotta make that cash, you know!
