Why Americans Love Taco Bell

Taco Bell is huge in the United States. It has been ranked as one of the top five fast-food chains in the country, based on sales. Despite the brand’s popularity, Taco Bell has been dealing with upheaval in its C-suite.

With more than 6,500 locations across the country, Taco Bell is one of the top fast-food chains in the U.S. It is not necessarily known for its quality, but a recent Harris Poll anointed it “America’s favorite Mexican restaurant.”

Much of Taco Bell’s recent innovation was initiated under the watch of former CEO, Brian Niccol. But in 2018, Niccol left the chain to helm one of Taco Bell’s biggest competitors — Chipotle. He has since moved Chipotle’s headquarters into Taco Bell’s backyard. Some say recent turnover in top management could mean trouble for Taco Bell in the years ahead.

  1. It’s sad that Taco Bell failed in UAE, especially Dubai, I used to pass by there in Mirdif City Center back in 2011, the food was amazing, but the locals here don’t have the appetite of Mexican food, they prefer foods like shawarma, falafel, if only Taco Bell introduced Arabian style tacos and burritos with Arabic/turkish style and background Taco Bell would have continued to operate successfully in the UAE.

  2. I had my LAST Toco Bell meal this week. I'm sick and tired of getting nearly empty burritos. This time, I decided to pay more and get the highest priced burrito on the menu thinking it wouldn't be nearly empty. It was supposed to have chicken in it. It was not only almost empty when I opened it up, I only found two tiny pieces of chicken in it! They are SCAMMING their customers! They won't screw me over again. NEVER again.

  3. Chipotle is nothing like Taco Bell. If anything it’s competitors are Cafe Rio or Zaba’s. They all operate the same ‘create-your-own’ tacos and burritos theme. And of those three I’d much rather go to Cafe Rio or Zaba’s. I’ve never been wowed by Chipotle. Taco Bell is cheap and you get items there that you can’t get anywhere else, that’s why they’re successful in my eye. They are my go to fast food stop. Having been poor all my life it’s straight up comfort food for me. 🙂

  4. I haven't eaten anything crazy good that's new from Taco Bell. I did enjoy the grilled cheese burrito and when they brought back the volcano menu. I love the volcano menu.

  5. As a mexican I don't see the point on buying something that vaguely resembles my own food when I can simply get my own food. And I think I'm not the only mexican thinking the same way because I've never seen one single Taco Bell around here.

  6. People saying this and that about Taco Bell food but to me I just don't care. Their food's been helping my Wallet for years and years to come! Stacker, Cheese Quesadilla And Value Menu is a Must!

  7. Seeing all those restaurants labeled as “Mexican food” is embarrassing. I enjoy Taco Bell and used to like Chipotle, but it shouldn’t be considered Mexican in any way

  8. Taco Bell is basically the next Pizza Hut but better and more innovative, and more popular than KFC and Pizza Hut!!!

Even though, I still love Taco Bell they’re a way superior fast food chain, better than Mickey D’s more innovative than Pizza Hut!!!!!

  9. they never even mentioned the amount of drugs that get sold in the parking lot. dear god how many times id buy some drugs then hit the drive through. they tend to favor corner real estate with fences, perfect for "late night" narcotics exchanges

  10. Most people including me want to eat in the vehicle. I can listen to my music and or podcast and chill. Only complaint is that I don't mind the raising of price as long as quality and quantity remain generous. Taco Bell has enormous overhead and I as a consumer get that. But keep portion size generous without me having to ad extra beef or chicken. Other than that long live Taco Bell!

  11. Im an American and I hate Taco Bell. The food is actually not bad but $20 for 3 Tacos that are barely filled with anything is ridiculous. They give you just enough food to tick you off.

  12. Are you serious? Taco Bell going Woke is enough for me to never go there again. I will never support a company who’s in your face. Just watch their latest commercial frame to frame. Ugg.

  13. It's cheap. It's customizable. With a few said customizations, it can even be moderately healthy compared to most fast food. And still reasonably tasty.

  14. Taco bell is the worst. The best thing about it is that it's open late. When you have no other options for fast food. Go home and sleep, you will be happy you did. Where I live everything closes at 9p. Guess who is still open. I only go there when I want to clean out my colon.

  15. I’m not sure that’s true or not but there is a rumor tells that they add something inside to make people get addicted ..I hope it’s not true
