Why Caterpillar’s Stock Is Soaring

With a history that dates back more than 100 years, Caterpillar went from a small tractor company with a single product to an international brand that stocks job sites worldwide with massive and distinctively mustard-colored equipment. As of 2021, Caterpillar was a high-flying stock as it hit a record of $197.54 on January 12, 2021. With commodity prices rising again, investors are betting that one of the world’s premiere names in industrial equipment will benefit from a new presidential administration, one that might push new infrastructure initiatives.

  1. I find it funny how CAT has the 2nd highest ESG score in the world. That’s basically how much it’s determined the WEF and the string pullers like you. And this is a company that literally makes the largest mining and construction vehicles in the world, I guess that is good for the environment? Lol. Anyway, I guess I’m not surprised at all that we have a news corp essentially doing a commercial for the company.

  2. It's a pity that the Caterpillar product has become a huge joke in the industry and as a builder of new Cat machines i can tell you that the quality of the equipment has gone downhill very badly. We are receiving machines from the US, India and SE Asia that is extremely poor quality that require massive amounts of repairs before being delivered to the customer. All the trucks we are seeing from India require days of rewelding of chassis to allow parts to fit and just poor quality welds that require being gouged back and fully welded again. There is no quality in the product anymore and no quality assurance anymore.

  3. When you look at the buy out of Bucyrus Mining
Basically they just had to Repaint the big Shovels and Draglines. They had Bucyrus-Erie
Foundry work force in there control. Look at them getting late into backhoe loader market. Took with the 416 the tryed and true Case backhoe, then on front they put the single cylinder bucket dump. A standard in the industry. Now there class 8 Truck's did not fair well. But when you look at it the Cat trucks came down a (International Trucks) assembly line. The Chinese have built Dozer's that look the same, taking about odd names brands, not the big Asian Manufacturer. The cab control look like Cats from 20 years ago. The track disconnect Levers coming straight back out of dash.

  4. My dad was an engineer sent to service CAT machinery during the Vietnam War. My mom was worried sick for his safety, even though he was in the safe reserve areas. She needn't have to coz my dad had some wild times there with photos to show (which I discovered hidden away in a drawer when I was still a kid, lol)

  5. I worked for kumotsu and currently for cat rn as a foundry worker in Illinois, cat puts them in the dirt cat treats workers amazing and if you work in the foundries in Illinois it’s nearly impossible to be laid off, in fact they closed 2 plants in North Carolina and Georgia and moved it to Illinois. Expanded again in the the Peoria metro area, my city is completely run by cat if it wasn’t for cat our city would be a ghost town.

  6. And a auto mated machine can't do walk around inspection of the machine it self to catch a small problem weld Crack ect from getting worse or even putting the machine it self out of commission

  7. You could not auto mare big mining equipment for the safety involved digging a deep trench there are more moving parts and things could happen were as an operator can catch the mistake before it gets out of hand just a thought safety thanks

  8. Nobody can afford to buy this equipment thanks to Joe Biden and the Democrats. Our economy and purchasing power of the American dollar has been destroyed. Caterpillar equipment is seen all over the World, especially in 3rd World countries. 🤔 How is that even possible when the average American can’t even afford their used equipment?

  9. The best way for caterpillar to make more money into increase their stocks a lot more is to go back to the good ole Ag division and on Highway engine division! Gotta love my all American big yellow!

  10. Its because more predatory lending has been allowed , more people trying to start big companies that need machinery, then cat has pretty exceptional leasing programs, and they supply all civic, and public works projects for starters…besides that, mining, chopping a mountain in half to get to the good copper, and lithium for the tech industry requires big machinery…think your tesla is oil free??? Lol…

  11. Large scale autonomous mining operations and construction dig operations would most certainly be the future of this equipment. Large scale infrastructure projects can more efficiently be dealt with
