Why Gas Prices In The U.S. Vary

22

As of October 4, 2021, the average price for a gallon of gasoline in the United States reached about $3.19. A closer look at the costs of a single gallon of fuel can be even more revealing. The refinery count in the United States has shrunk dramatically over the last several decades. That means the country relies on an ever-smaller number of ever-larger plants and is more vulnerable to supply constraints in the wake of outages.

  1. I rather pump gas when is slow and no traffic… this era of time people fight due to skip or any issue of someone pumping "slow" due to machine… So yea the cost is koo but Traffic should be #1 to be aafe from a fight and creating a bad day …

  2. I wish someone would do a video on this

I live out in yadkin county nc out in the country and our gas on the same day at same time (my dad would be in elkin getting gas at the same time I'm in hamptonville) may be 10 to 15 cent higher and if u drive 30 min to Winston salem gas is 30 to 40 cent higher
It just don't make sense and these towns are always cheaper

  3. Nice try fake news, You so called educated lefties are hilarious. Demonize and shut down the pure evil fossil fuels, then cry and blame others when the price explosion breaks us all. Yep need to go full electric ASAP. One problem, your need natural gas, coal and nuclear power to get it. Blanket the entire US with solar panel's, now that's great for the environment ! Every country run by the elite left are finding out its not fairy dust, and unicorn's falling from the sky to survive. Not to mention our boarder, crime, out of control JOE FLATION , and our life long savings going down the drain ! Mid terms and 2024 cannot come soon enough. Time to vote these America hating clowns out of office people !

  4. what california could do is have texas load up a bunch of tanker trucks and transport the fuel to california maybe at several thousand gallons at a time.

another way to keep the prices down is to ship the raw base gas to the dealers and then add the additives on site.

so while they are filling the underground tanks they are dumping in bottles of heet, tiger if exxon, vpower if shell and so on.

that would keep the prices down because everyone initially gets the same base grade of regular and premium and the mixing is done on site.

even better screw the environment and find other ways to clean the environment such as co2 scrubbers.

harden the refinery stack towers against hurricanes by installing cross braces making it look like the bank of china tower and scaffolding so even in 500 mph wind driven winds it will survive so the refineries can operate during the hurricanes.

furtherly insulate the stacks so the cold temperatures of the rain and wind wont effect the vapor points of the various products.

the next time we have to go into lockdown maybe we should do like the opec fuel crisis did where the filling would be based on license plates or peoples ages.

weekends would be everyone can fill up.

monday plates ending in 1 and 2 can fill up

tuesday 3 and 4 and so on until friday where 9 and 0 can fill up.

yes that would limit the travel but it could be a way to slowly ramp back up the demand similar to the traffic light method we used coming back off the pandemic lockdowns.

it is sort of like what a power plant does after a power outage where they bring up one section of the grid 1 at a time to prevent an overload.

  5. The reason why it's so high is because of the stupid war in the Ukraine…Why doesn't the U.S mind their own business..why does the U.S have to be involved with everything…. united states' should keep out of everyone's business that's why it's so high

  6. I love this channel and series. Keep them coming!!!!

But please make the sounds louder. I found the recording level is lower than other videos channel with the same video quality.
