Why Israeli military units could be sanctioned by the US | The Take

32

Certain Israeli military units could be sanctioned by the US State Department for the first time over allegations of serious human rights abuses. Those allegations made their way to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in December, according to a report from US news outlet ProPublica, but hadn’t been acted on until now.

  1. 1st it'll not effect & this is a way to cover their crimes, if look back the history, it never happened that a military group get punished while the country is off the hook
Every country must conduct its actions without crimes & if there's crimes that government must meet the punishment

  2. Another case of Israel is “special” and can do no wrong, according to USA officials. Meanwhile the gen-o-cyde goes on in Gaza as well as settler violence. Disgusting!

  3. Could be is a big word coming from the United States being we have a zionist president and his cabinet all zionist jews who have Isreal intrest at heart.
The Biden administration has nothing to do with human rights!!!!!!

  4. Blinken is hiding all the atrocities inflicted by Israel from day one he knew that the mass massacre was happening and done nothing did he not take an oath of the country to protect people he should be sacked he not fit for purpose

  5. it seems so bizarre to me that the u.s. will impose sanctions on an individual unit of a foreign army.. as if they are the disciplinary committee within the israeli army or something. why does nobody talk about that? i have looked to see if there was any precedent and couldn't find anything — would love to know if someone else can find this..

  6. They could sanction those units. They could sanction illegal settlers (all 700 000 of them), or they could sanction the party responsible for both of them .. the State of Israel. I'd not hold my breath though, American politicians can't seem to think straight when it comes to Israel.
