Why Russia’s 2024 election actually matters | About That

28

Vladimir Putin is officially in the running for his fifth term in office ahead of next spring’s Russian elections, solidifying his hold on power until at least 2030. In a race where the winner is almost guaranteed, Putin will be re-elected in March — but what could he lose in the process?

CORRECTION (Dec. 14, 2023): A previous version of this video incorrectly stated at 3:56 that Dmitry Medvedev is Russia’s current prime minister. In fact, he held that role until 2020. The video has been edited to remove that part. A clip at 7:48 was also edited out because the broll did not match the audio.

  1. A presidential election in Russia is the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life, it is as if they told me that North Korea is going to have presidential elections.😂😂🤡🤡

  2. in russia , there is always somebody that wants to replace you , especially if you are the one who screwed up the war in ukraine , losing hundreds of thousands of soldiers , billions in battleships billions in lost equipment , artillery , missles , and the people despise you. someone will uncerimoniously remove you , to become the leader themselves , it happens all the time in russia , putin's on very borrowed time , because he failed miserably , and the people are restless , and angry at the worlds richest man , who has only looked after himself.

  3. I consider myself pretty active in searching out news, but I think this is the first video I've seen that strongly suggest Putin's challenges that he's working hard to stay in power. Selfishly speaking – I'd love to hear lots more stories like this one.

  4. So does the card only have one side or is it already pre-filled? you don't even need a pencil, I would like to see one, a symbol of a democracy that Russians believe in!

  5. The author of the channel has read about the kings of the past centuries, and is trying to apply their logic to Putin, this is a deep mistake. The war in Ukraine is being waged to ensure Russia's security, and not for Putin's rating among the Russian population. It is this quality of Putin that Russians like, he works around the clock for the benefit of the country, and not for his influence or for money.

  6. Russia :
Putin Vs A Plate of cold Cabbage (Result: Knowing Cabbage can’t rule, 98% of the Russian People Vote for Putin)

USA : The Plate of cold Cabbage gets 81 Million Votes
