Mexico has already turned over the migrant passage to the Cartels. Why does anyone believe the Mexican government would be in a position to take control the passage of migrants. The cash flow from the migrants to the Cartels would be negatively impacted, causing at least severe friction. Can the government of Mexico actually control migrant traffic? What are the migration obstacles the USA actually control. The Wall or some other barrier would be needed. Catch all and deport, if the country of origin will cooperate. Venezuela has already refused to receive deportees. No simple solutions for this awful mess created by Biden and his Party!

I would not categorize most Congressmen as "young". I am also not young, they can all remember the same as I. And I can recall Reagan many times declaring states of emergencies and taking full control of several situations. The most interesting was the pilots strike. Reagan's wealthy friends couldn't be expecting to be delayed returning from vacay in Martha's Vineyard. Reagan wasn't their employer but he told them to get to work or they would be fired. If you are too young to remember google it. Very similar to Biden telling the railroad strike to get back to work, even telling Congress later to vote against the strike. Seventy percent of Congress voted as Biden told them too. The rest of us know better and do not believe Biden nor Congress when they pretend that this has been a stalemate for three years. The adults know better and do not need to discuss it.
