The U.S. hasn’t updated physical currency but some countries have changed lower denomination bills into coins and paper notes have been converted to polymer. While electronic payments are growing in the U.S., physical cash today is circulated more than ever. Experts claim that the choice to continue printing paper notes is fueled by special interests but The Federal Reserve says changing currency is costly and complex.

What’s Wrong With U.S. Cash
source
Don’t worry! There was probably a rider hidden in the latest ‘don’t let the government shut down’ bill giving the green light to the CBDC. Big Brother tells you you have to turn in all cash by 6 pm, Friday night, and at 6:01, he starts turning off your bank accounts. Then you have bigger problems than what our currency looked like. Past tense. Now it all looks the same. $$$$. That’s it. Great, huh? So they can shut you up and break you down all at the same time! Wait till they do it to the democrats as well as the republicans! Delicious!
I use cash for tipping, at cash-only locations, places that charge more for using a card, and quarters for the laundromat. I also keep some cash around for vending machines and parking
I still want access to cash as a form of pseudo-privacy and to reduce government control over your purchases. However, I use credit cards because they are a necessity if you want to get approved for loans as well as lower interest loans.
Nothing. – there is nothing wrong with US cash.
I wish I had more of it 🙂
I like cash but my wallet can hold enough, ever since the dollar can’t even buy a gallon of petroleum ! I not laughing! Confused people have no chance of getting a fair purchase!
Large coins are too heavy don't you change a fking thing! We like it the way it is! AND THATS THE WAY IT IS! don't make us riot!
I love the electronic payment method but I would neeeeeeever eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever want Cash to be replaced with digital. If there's some somebody made that's genuine amd unique if I don't have some thing to trade how would I be able to buy it. Then the next person who will have had something perfect to trade will get the item and I won't.
Put blacks on all bills.
Interesting! The dems say we CAN'T have ID to vote because it would be too hard for people to aquire ID. HOW then are those people supposed to join the DIGITAL CURRENCY WORLD?????
Pure digital world will also shift to a chip under your skin making people slaves. Cash also has a freedom advantage that can cause issues but also provide privacy which is under attack in today's society.
I found it stupid like my haircut person does Zelle but I ask him do you report the taxes and he said no. But doesn’t realize those electronic transfer during IRS audit is a huge liability.
It’s nasty. We grew some crazy stuff off a dollar bill in Microbiology, using a a Petri Dish. Things I wouldn’t believe could live outside a host that long.
$5’s just as bad
Then it got a little better as the denominations go higher, contamination was less,…
Except for hard drugs,… the majority of $100’s have trace amounts of Fentanyl, Heroin, and Cocaine.
There is no U.S. cash shown in this video. The paper currency is known as "dollar bills" because they are due bills for actual currency (which no longer exists). The coins are also not legal tender because they are neither gold nor silver specie as mandated in the Constitution for use by the States to pay their debts (and this includes the States in the collective as the United States).
Digital cash costs more.
Pennies cost more than their worth. But those pennies bring a lot of tax dollars. Fix it. Make it worth something. I bought my first house in college. $99.71 per month. Left a rental that was $125./ month. 1973-4. The federal government ( I don’t blame one party) has done a great job, don’t you think. BTW. I worked hard to afford that and everything else . Tuition was CHEAP, books weren’t. Nothing else seemed cheap then.
Save the trees 🌴😁 be a couch potato 🥔
propganda
Back in college in the 90s I needed to buy a train ticket and only had a $20 the machine gave me all Suzanne B Anthony dollar coins. It was a real pain carrying a pocket full of these coins all day.
The only reason I ever have cash is if I buy something for my dad and he pays me back in cash.
Electronics die. The end. Try and use your debit card in a power outage.
Cash still rules.
Anyone under the age of 30 wanting to use a $100 bill to pay for something under $80, is a crack dealer
If you're anticipating collapse of the US empire, as I am, accumulate precious metals. Federal Reserve currency will approach worthlessness.
Should stop making pennies. Such a waste. I throw them away. Even the drug dealers won't take pennies.
Pew research center smells awful. They funded by Donald Trump. The results of their work is biased towards republicans. All think tanks are biased.
Look! It’s propaganda for a digital currency.
The problems is that the government is sending all our tax paying money to Ukraine and Gaza 🤦🏻♂️
Stop taxing income
Probably haven't used cash in 15 years or more, except when visiting the US and Japan. Cash serves no useful (and legitimate) purpose anymore.
Propaganda.
Dears,Why did you stop to circulate $5000 & $10000?In my opinion you should circulate US$100000,US$500000,US$10 lacs,US$1 million,US$1billion,US$1trillion & up to US$100,1000 trillions note. The advantage is,it will reduce risk of carrying big,big suitcases & sacks rather smoothen & risk free for affluent persons & society.
Country(Title),Dhaka.
We need to get rid of the penny, nickle, quarter and paper one except for collecting and dich the five and twenty bills.
We should have only dimes, half dollars, one dollar, and five dollar coins, and ten, fifty, and hundred dollar bills.
Going "CASHLESS" is the absolute dumbest thing that anyone could want to do. Bar none. PERIOD!.
Japanese 500 yen is no different than American $5 usd just count out in cents
Its centralized that's the damn problem. Ebolish the federal reserve monopoly
The US Constitution says only gold and silver is money.
Federal reserve notes are a joke and digital payment is equal to slavery
Not having any !
I do not get why there are 1 and 5 cent. They have no value and just take up a lot of time and space/weight all over.
Get rid of everything belowe 10 cent, and make the 1 Dollar a coin.
Why will Americans pay so much extra in tax and waiting time for these ludacris small amounts?
I use cash all the time… including $1 coins and half dollars and $2 bills. If you live around the Amish, you will use some cash. Also, I don't like the Credit Card surcharge of 3-4% We need a $5 coin!
Who the hell uses cash on a weekly basis?
