1. I was skeptical of this move but after listening to her, im shocked at how and why johnson betrayed the American people.

31. As a Republican, I'm appalled at the speaker for his dereliction of duties and, even more so, for denying members the 72 hrs to review and make any amendments. This was all because Congress was taking a 2-week recess. I don't believe in gov't shutdowns, but this bill should have been amended, especially when it provides funding for an LGBT community center in Philly. Meanwhile, we have a mounting crisis at our southern border and people are being murdered daily. And, why hasn't the Laken Riley Act passed the Senate? That should take priority over this stupid bill. So much for sympathy. Nope, Johnson was more worried about the shutdown, even though it would still allow essential gov't agencies to continue. MTG and other Republicans should be mad at him for being a minion to Chuck Schumer and the Dems. I don't even care who gets to succeed Johnson bc the GOP majority has vanished. Our congress(wo)men should represent us, not the powerful. I urge all constituents whose reps supported this bill to vote them out. They're not working for US.
