  1. Trump will flip flop on this and every other issue depending on what he sees as being beneficial to him at the moment. That's why we saw him ignore COVID (for a couple of weeks, that sounded good), then left the response up to dueling governors (to avoid responsibility once it got out of hand), then supported a Chemical of the Week, in response to their popping up on social media, then pushed the development of a vaccine, then forgot about the vaccine once it was not ready before the 2020 election.

So, if he can get something from right wing evangelicals in Congress that benefits him if he signs an national abortion ban, he will sign it. Do you think he would be quite so chummy with Putin on Ukraine right now if Zelenskyy had agreed to be extorted into giving him dirt on Biden in 2019? Actually, it would have put Trump in a delicate position. If he won the election, he would have partly owed his victory to Zelenskyy. But he still owes however much money Eric boasted about to Russian banks that Putin controls. Well, Zelenskyy's unwillingness to be bullied by Trump and Giuliani, thank goodness, has made that a moot point. I'm sure Trump asked himself, in his inimitable, crooked way, "But what was in it (refusing Trump's offer) for him (Zelenskyy)?" He really wouldn't have a clue about that.

  2. “What I see increasingly here is Republican lead state legislatures legislating with their holy book” they aren’t even doing that, what they are legislating with is a 40-year-old tradition. If these Christians actually looked at our Bible, they would see that it very explicitly outlines in Exodus 21:22–24 a contrast between a woman being life, marrying the death penalty for anyone who takes her life, with a fetus/embryo being referred to as property stating that the repercussion and compensation for causing a miscarriage is not life but a financial compensation. They are also plainly opposing the top creative Christ to love, God and your neighbour that what you do to others you do to God, according to Jesus himself.

  3. Nobody on the left wants to force you to have a medical procedure. We don't want to force your sons to wear a dress. We don't want to force you to eat a rainbow cookie. We just think these are private decisions that each person should make without the government peeking into your private life.

  4. Its sad but true to say that, Trump and his supporters are what you get when you cut back too much on education and mental health treatment…(surprise, surprise two things the Republicans are always keen to cut or degrade) a lot of them are actualy nice people but that lack the ability to decern who the real snake oil salesman are.

  5. The 2nd health care blunder from the former. 1st covid, now this. 45 did this. He did that. And still. Women will lead the charge for protecting democracy and their rights to their own health care decisions. Go ladies go. Tell it. Bring it and know that you are so very powerful in this moment. Thank you for your bravery.
    Vote. Vote. Vote.

  6. Republicans aren’t going to be able to talk their way out of this. Be careful what you wish for, you may get it. And not like the consequences. We will not forget in November.
