RNC vs. NBC: Committee may restrict network over Ronna McDaniel firing | NewsNation Now

12

The Republican National Committee is deciding whether to restrict NBC’s access to its upcoming convention after the network fired former RNC head Ronna McDaniel, citing concerns about fairness. GOP political strategist Rina Shah discusses how this would impact the network. “Revoking this privilege, I think, is rather unprecedented,” Shah said on “NewsNation Now.” She says she would be against that move.

  1. I have no place in my heart for McDaniel. She accomplished nothing. That said, it's kind of the principle of it at this point. It's like Pelosi picking which Republicans she would allow on the 1/6 committee. Let the NBCs run their propaganda schtick and get their news secondhand this election season, commenting on other channels' comments. If they are going to pick the conservative opinions they will allow, shut them out. No interviews, no commentary, no access. I'd love to see what their ratings would look like after 5 months of being frozen out. There are only so many times you can say 'bad-orange-man' before even the lunatic left gets bored and goes back to two-thumb digital aerobics.

  2. I disagree with Rina. It’s all about integrity. NBC and MSNBC need to keep hold of their integrity. They need to be a new station that people can trust you cannot bring someone like Rona McDaniel into your abyss as someone who is credible. She played a massive part when it came to January 6 and the 2020 elections. She’s not credible, she’s not someone that you should trust you don’t know what to believe when it comes to her. so for Rina to say, still have her own but pay her a little less… the answer to that is no. MSNBC and NBC put integrity and what they stand for front and centre… first. .

  3. What is the Entertainment Value of this year's Republican Convention this year?

NBC can hire Nikki Haley and Chris Christie to throw insults at Vivek Ramaswamy as counter-programming…. like "War of the Worlds," NBC could convince half of America that Trump bowed out at the last minute and the RNC chose Chris Christie instead. (And then, "It's live from New York… Saturday Night…")

  4. Did the RNC get their feelings hurt because no one at MSNBC wants to work with a sedationist? Ronna Romney McDaniel should be a named co-conspirator in the J-6 trial. There is audio of her telling the MI canvassers not to sign the certification. 🌊💙🌊💙🌊💙 VOTE A FULL BLUE BALLOT FOR DEMOCRACY, WOMEN’S RIGHTS, VOTING RIGHTS, MAJORITY RULE & THE RULE OF LAW! 🌊💙🌊💙🌊💙

  5. 😂your networks commitment to gaslighting and elections denial remain strong so I appreciate that Rhona was sent back to the gaslighting dugout so that people who actually like factual discussions don't even have to listen to her

  6. I think it is a good thing to ban nbc news from the RNC events. They wanna play partisan games you win stupid partisan prizes. People can boohoo all they want but I think it’s fair, the free press can find something else to talk about on nbc news.
